1.  Form

A =         S + was/were + adjective/adverb/noun    (+)

                S + was/were + not +adj/adv/noun         (-)

                Was/were + not + adj/adv/noun              (?)

B =          S + V₂ + O + adv                                    (+)

                S + did +not +V₁ +O +adv                      (-)

                Did + S +V₁ + O +adv                            (?)

Example :

A =

a.       This morning Ana was at home

b.      How was the party last night it was good

c.       The last semester, I was a leader of this class

B =

a.       This morning I ssaw my ennglish teacher in front of the teacher’s room

b.      I graduanted from Junior High School in 2013

c.       Yesterday my english teacher invited me to see him

       2.       The use of past tense

To express the activity that starts and finishing in the fast (diawali masa lampau diakhiri masa lampau)

       3.       The adverb of time (keterangan waktu)

The past tense use the following adverb’s of time

a.       This morning

b.      Yesterday

c.       Last yesterday

d.      Last Sunday

e.      Last month

f.        2 days ago

g.       An hour ago

h.      ... a week ago

i.         Last night

j.        In the past time
